For the price I paid, I definitely got great value for my money. The room at Hostal Laia By Gaiarooms was nice and clean, and the staff made sure it was tidied up and provided fresh towels every day. The location was perfect for me, as it was easy to walk to the center and there were plenty of shops and restaurants in the area.
Breakfast delights could be improved with more variety.

Although the database reviews mentioned some drawbacks such as the bathroom needing maintenance, slow drainage in the sink and shower, and thin walls, I personally did not encounter these issues during my stay. Great location - close to metro station and within walking distance of key attractions like Plaza de Catalunya and Plaza de Espanya. Comfortable bed - enjoyed a good night's sleep after a long day exploring the city. Daily cleaning service - always came back to a tidy and refreshed room.
Could be cleaner - noticed some areas that could use a bit more attention. Inconsistent hot water in the shower - had to deal with frequent temperature changes.
